First TNT of the season tomorrow
Supposed to be sunny and 74* tomorrow...making the first passes with the new top-end. I can't wait, I've been thinking about it all week
Best N/A pass last year was 11.59 with 11:1 383, unported 170cc Vortec heads and a hydraulic flat-tappet cam.
This year I'm running Canfield 215cc heads and a mechanical roller. Car also weighs 50# less. I'm shooting for a 10.99 and it feels like it should do it. Well, according to the 'ol butt dyno anyhow

Good Luck. I'm hoping to set new bests tonight at www.tulsaracewaypark.com myself, gonna TNT tonight and run the index class or bracket race tomorrow. I've picked up a tenth in the 1/8th so far, been a while since I've made a 1/4 mile pass on a good track.

Only got three passes in on Saturday. I couldn't get the car to hook at all. I'm guessing it's because the just scraped all the rubber off the track and ground the concrete smooth last week. They did drag it with old slicks and put some VHT down, but it was nowhere near as tacky as it was last year.
Anyways, 60ft times were slow since I spun for about 10ft. Best pass was a 11.30 @ 119 with a 1.66 60ft. I was only shifting at 6500...just making some shakedown passes.

They have a Mustang roller dyno that you put your rear tires on and the car is strapped down to hold it in place.
I brought the car up to about 4200 rpm in 3rd gear getting ready to make the first pull. I nailed the throttle when he gave me the signal and at 5500 or so, the driveshaft twisted in half shot pieces out from under the car. Scared the hell out of everybody. Now I know why driveshaft loops are a good idea! Mine did it's job.
