I am Mario Van Wiechen and live in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. About 500 miles north of Bangor Maine for those you don't know. LOL
I am single, dating a great lady who for someone who had no idea what a drag car looked like when we met is picking the whole deal up very quickly and enjoys going to the track.
I own a small manufacturing company with a partner, do mostly sheet metal work for commuter trains. Having a CNC laser and milling machine has been very handy when building my cars. GRIN
My car is a 1989 Thunderbird, tube chassis car. The only Ford pcs left are the roof and 1/4's

Image

Built in my garage from an S&W kit. Powered by a 465 FE motor, C-4 tranny using a bellhousing I fabricated

Image

9 inch sheet metal rearend, housing was designed and built by myself

Remember the handy machines I spoke of.

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen
Have a couple of projects going this winter, mostly helping out a friend build a mini tubbed 95 Camaro (Yes I know a Chevy but the rash only lasts a couple of days LOL)
Building him a sheet metal housing and torque arm suspension

The computer model

Image

Got a start on the housing until I sprained my ankle, back at it this weekend

Image

Building an alum oil pan for my car, current one is a little too deep for the chassis and cannot fix all the leaks. Hopefully this one will seal better
What my computer thinks it will look like

Image

My alum welding skills need work so it may not look that good

The pcs

Image

Have not gone thru this whole thread yet but some very nice cars hanging around this site

Nova's are allowed on this site, so why not Fords....

Hey Mario, how you doing? Haven't talked to you in a while.

Still on DRR site?

How's the car doing?

Hello Moe, how you doing? I'm one of those "feminine product" Camaro owners you busted on.

It's ok, I know all Nova owners need to be treated a little "differently" around here because they are so sensitive gay:

Looks like you'll fit in just nicely around here :thumb:

Bruce
Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don't.........

Hello Bruce, good to talk to you again.
Still hang out at DRR, somewhat quiet but still a few good discussions get rolling.
I got to race 1/2 the season this year before I split 2 cyl walls
Sleeving the block this year and see how it goes next year. Need an aftermarket block but budget does not permit.

There sure does seem to be a lot of Nova's, withholding opinions though until I get to know everybody better.
Kinda shy and backward you know   :o
