Hello im matt, im 26 from upstate ny. I have a 75 nova ss with a 461 Bbc th400 transmission. I have two boys and a supportive wife. My one boy insisted i put two motors in it until i took him for a quick ride down the block. The 0-40mph changed his mind quickly. Growing up my parents would take me to cruise nights and drag strips every now and then. My grandfather and uncle worked for gm years ago and built and fixed numerous amount of cars and built a couple of race cars. So id say its in my dna. Ive always had a passion for old muscle cars and pro street cars but no wheres to start from from so i bought my car to do just that to teach myself and learn alot of valuable information along with having fun. The back story is the car drove by my wife and I when we were headed to Home Depot when we were remodeling our home six months prior to buying it. It was a rumbling and people were staring at it. Then we noticed the for sale sign in the rear window and for giggles i told my wife to save the number. Well after we got done remodeling and moving in i hopped on craigslist and was looking for a monte carlo or a camaro or a nova. This popped up and for the price and shape it was not bad at all. Ive had it for about a year now and did a couple of upgrades and raced it a few times and gained some knowledge. The need for speed has gotten to me or at least the race fuel did. Im in the process of tearing my car down to bare bones and rebuilding it so you might see a few posts in the future from me. My plans are to strip some excess weight from it and redo everything little thing in it and make it the fastest in its class.
