Just a heads up for anyone needing to get a NHRA license. It is possible to crossover your IHRA license if you have one with a lot less hassle than just getting a new NHRA license. I just got done doing this and got my temp license from NHRA Today, so it does work. Your two passes needed can be done in competition with a car in the other lane also.
"NHRA Crossover Application Process
NHRA has simplified the process to obtain an NHRA competition license if the racer already holds the license of another sanctioning body. The NHRA has listened to its customers and come up with an easier way for racers to become NHRA licensed drivers. If you are licensed with another sanctioning body all you have to do is fill out the crossover form on our forms page, show proof of two runs in the last calendar year, and complete a physical. The form must be signed off on by the track manager. You will then mail the form to the NHRA offices and they will process all the information."
The form says you only need two full passes that are signed off by the track manager and a NHRA licensed driver, and they can be side by side
Here's the link to the form, http://www.cedarfallsraceway.com/2007/f ... nseApp.pdf
You also need the regular NHRA physical - the form for that is here http://www.nhra.com/contacts/forms/physical01.pdf
