Thanks guys all the hard work paid off. Now if i can just fix that dam nasty header leak. Sounds like a loose rocker or lifter but i checked the lash about 3 times now and all are good. Any good ideas on any decent gaskets out there? Or should i cut the flange to release the bow if there is one in the header?

I had a set of reusable header gaskets a couple of years ago that were made out of aluminum, I think. They had like 6 layers and were guaranteed not to burn out. I remember I got them from advance and they were like $40, but they worked really well. I just can't remember the brand name. I will see if I can figure them out and let you know.

Got it. They were made by flowtech. Looks like the price has gone up on them since I had a set, but man they work good.

I think I had the square ones too. I was very pleased with them. I think I may have sold them with the truck.
