 Yes the sound thru the Lemons... Flowmasters and 4" exh. is something akin to a freight training chugging down the side streets......Gets lots of folks coming out of there homes trying to figure out the noise.........actually pretty funny to see people come out on their porches........or to just pull up to a red light with only the motor right next to some guys head with his window down on a cell phone..........

Hey!!!!! Watch it there buddy...... Don't be punking those of us who are "internet challenged". Nobody wants to see any photos of an ol' primered small-block Chevelle. John was just kidding. Nothing here to see folks......just move along..... ;)

Thank you!

Wish i would have come across those before i put the new motor in my chevelle.

I went with hooker headers on my 555.
Going to be putting a 598 in the car soon, might have to try out some Lemons.

That is a beautiful ride !!!!!!!! :thumb: How do you like those Demons ? Are they RaceDemons, and what CFM ?

You have the same experience I do, seeing windows coming down long before you even reach the traffic stopped at a light. Folks are fascinated by blower cars, and the wall of noise that preceeds them is something that really catches folks attention.

Have you had that beast out on the freeway yet ? It's funny watching peoples reacting as you catch up with them at freeway speeds. Just like cruising light to light, they can hear ya coming up behind them on the freeway and you always get the same reaction. It's just too cool for words :smt003

Thanks for the compliment on my car.
Demons: 650's RaceDemons.
NO freeways where I live in upstate NY... the occasional stretch of clear highway... but just short trips around town for now trying to sort out everything.

Having a bit of a situation with my centerlink vs. my oil pan and trying to turn left.........will post a picture later if anyone has any ideas......(kick out on side of pan)........

Well gee, that's not hard to fix. Just don't turn left :smt003

Besides, if you're turning left (or right) it means you're not drag racing :thumb: :smt003 :smt003

Just trying to help...

Take all the help I can get: the kick out on the pan.... is a but much and the inner tie rod hits... but even prior to that the centerlink quickly rubs on the pan...
thinking about lowering the drag link on the frame....?

Lowered the motor the firebird years ago and had the same issue, we turned the centerlink upside down to clear the pan but you also have to lower the idler arm and pitman arm. Of coarse there is the bump steer issue to deal with so we made tubes that threaded on the link in place of the stock adjusting sleeve and used heim joints for tie rod ends. Drill out the taper in the steering arm and use a 5/8" bolt with the correct length spacer and it will all work.

Or you can smash your oil pan with a BFH

I vote for flipping the drag link, saving the BFH solution as a last resort :smt003
