Getting ready to go make some passes...
Spring fever!!! Man I can't wait to get the Nova back out again.. She's almost ready all I have left to do is run the valves and change the oil then I can go make some noise.
Spent this weekend getting lots of little details like the chassis setup, shock settings, adjusting the front springs, cal-trac adjustments, etc. Also got the new hood mounted. Some of you Nova guys will be interested in this one, it's the first integrated cowl panel hood from VFN off their new mold. The scoop goes all the way back to the windshield, so it looks a bit different than most cowl scoops. I'll get some better pictures soon so you can see what I'm talking about.
I hope all the changes done this winter help improve it's 60' times, fresh tires, anti-roll bar, new stiffer D/A shocks, more weight removal (now at min. race weight), and some changes to the nitrous setup.
9secpumpgas - you about to get your's back together?

The VFN Hood is a little bit lighter than the Harwood, I'm not sure by how much but you can notice it. Finish is a little rougher than Harwood, but nothing that needs much work. It's just that Harwood has a very nice finish on their top layer that is really smooth, the VFN is rougher. It'll take just a bit more sanding when prepped for paint. I do like the scoop design better, the sides of the cowl are at an angle where the Harwood is straight up and down.
Weights w/10 gal fuel but no driver were:
LR 765
RR 836
RF 830
LF 833
Of couse when I plop down in the seat it throws this all off and has more left side but I think it'll work.

It's a spoiler/air dam, the guy that used to make these I think sold them to Chevy II only, not sure on that. I haven't learned if it helps or not yet.

Not too sure Mike, 4-5 I'd guess. I don't think it's low enough to trip the beams.

John, are you going to TNT at MoKan or run the Doorslammer Shootout at Ozark this weekend?

It's ready right now, just finished up my to do list.
Bob I'm not sure where we're going this weekend, I just want to get a few passes in before the MAKO shootout on the 15th. Going to see what the weather is going to do, probably MoKan on Friday night or Wichita on Saturday or if all else fails KCIR on Sunday. I wish Ozark was closer Bob, but it's quite a ways further to pull for me.

Thanks Chris, I'm looking forward to seeing what all you got done to the Camaro this winter. Hope you get her finished up before too long.
