No updates yet, haven't talked to him since last week. Might be in town next weekend and have a few min to run by and check out the progress. I have a few parts to drop off - just finishing up the battery box for the car.

I over heard Robert saying he put an extra couple layers of body filler and primer on.

I don't think so chris. I'm pretty sure there is about half the material on the non wrecked fender as it had when he dropped it off. Someone used the fancy spray on filler before.

I can confirm... I weighed them. The fender with no paint picked up at most about 1/2 lb, and part of that was probably the repair for the rusted out area.

OBTW Chris - we've still got a match race to finish sometime when we get these things running again :thumb:

Speaking of rematches, you owe me one from '04. I fully expect to lose again, but maybe I'll make you work for it a little bit 8-)

We will see ol blue at the Gathering this year won't we?

If I had to guess it'll probably be late in the year at best when I get it running again. It's a big question when the cage will be finished, body work and paint done, rewiring, replumbing, etc. I have a bunch of work to do to put it back together. I would absolutely love to have it running again this summer so we can do some racing if possible within my budget.

Yes it would, it's been a LONG time since we're lined up together. That was like at Beech Bend wasn't it? Man how time flys.

Beech Bend in '04 I do believe.

I was just cutting my teeth on nitrous with your help and neither one of us made a good pass as I recall.

Hard to believe the Gathering record is still 5.92@117 from '06. I thought I'd easily knock that out of the park last year. Just knocked out a rod instead!

It'll fall this year for sure! (I'm screwed now!).

Jeez, hard to believe it's been 6 years already. No, I don't think either one of us had the cars running quite right - I can't remember what was wrong with mine off hand, but it was fun anyway.

I know I was playing with nitrous for the first time with too much gear and a very loose converter. I don't recall what your setup was back then.

Hopefully we'll have a nice turnout this year and quite a few Novas racing.
