I saw that they were going to be on radials in Memphis, we are going to Ducks race. Clint looked like he was giving the mustang a race til he got loose.

Greg, you happen to know someone down there in Oklahoma with the same last name as mine?

I have a big tire car cuz it was all the rage when I was a lot younger. This Camaro with the big blower and tubbed back-half was something I really lusted for when I was in my 20's. Mind you I don't really compete so it's not really in the same category as you dedicated racers, but I do chase the stripe to collect time slips *and* cruise the valley at nite. Its my version of a time machine, if ya get my drift  8-)

Yep. I'll be trying to make all those big block MAKO guys wished they had a small block this season. LOL. Thanks for the compliment on the paint. Eric French in Glencoe, OK painted it.

Here is a question, if you small tire guys decided to, do you build into your car enough room to add a big tire?

I heard some big tire guys will put on a small tire, for certain races but didn't know if it could be the other way around?

Typically not as many of the small tire classes require stock rear frame rails in their rules - no back half cars. You can modify, but not remove the rear rails entirely. Mine are about 1/8" thick lol...

This means you're not sticking "big" tires under one of these cars in most cases.

Don did a frame notch on mine & mini tubed it. My 28x10.5W is the biggest I can get under it.
In the video I raced an old mustang with a 500" BBF & a big tire, both cars N/A, I red lite, but ran a 9.22 to his 9.27
That guy said he's never been out run by a N/A small block on small tires, oh well it was just a TNT pass anyway.
It depends on the car, some look good on small tires, but looks isn't important if it won't hook.

Just proves the point the big tire guys wish they had built a small tire car in the first place.

Each build, to me takes talent to make them work but I just think it takes more work to make a small tire car work like some of yours do and I applaud that.

But because I don't have all of your talent, I'll just stick with a big tire.

But a better question to you Mr. Peters is, why a Chevelle...... :smt005 :smt005

I prefer the smaller tire look. I think most of us orginally went the small tire plan because it was way for us to be able to afford to compete, now that small tire racing is so big, I think that idea has long since passed.
On my new build, I did plan ahead and made it possible for the car to run from a 275/60 up to a 29.5/10.5w. You never know what the future will bring and I wanted to make sure I could fit into as many classes as possible.
