Ohh So Close...

#1 Post by John_Heard » Wed Jun 08, 2005 2:14 pm

I'm getting really close on the Nova getting her going, hope to finish up the shock brackets tonight and general clean up work. If all goes well the motor will be going in by Sunday, I've got the weekend off and going to spend some "quality time" in the garage! IF you hear thunder coming from Kansas this weekend, that'll be the WMD Nova firing back up!!

Can you tell I'm getting excited LOL??

Looks like I'll be the one buying ice cream. I'll get the real fattening kind so that you'll be slower at the track and I'll have a shot at ya! LOL

Why is it you always run out of welding wire at 9pm at night when you're in a hurry to get something done??

Same reason that you always find that missing part 5 minutes after buying and installing the replacement. Its Mr. Murphy's fault.

Getting closer, almost ready to drop the engine in. Here's a shot of the new control arms all mounted up.

And a picture of the new rack and pinion setup...

Thanks Roger.. It sure felt good last night to push the welder cart back out of the way, put away the grinder and start cleaning up.

Front suspension looks real nice. Who made those control arms?

Nice looking pieces. I just wish he made them to fit stock coil spring setups...that and offer them for the G-body ;).

DANG that looks GREAT. how did you determine where you put the rack? I am seriously thinking about putting one in my 66 Chevelle & am not quite sure where to start. I am going to re-read my chassis books & go lay under the car for an hour or two & see if I cant finger it out.

thanks
Bob

David walked me through the whole install, it took several phone calls and lots of questions but he got me all fixed up.
