bbc fabricated valve covers?

#1 Post by mikeT » Sun Apr 10, 2011 9:13 pm

HI! Looking at some fabricated bbc valve covers on Ebay. look like a good price at $60.00
Two types available one with tubes for the bolts and one style scalloped around the bolts. Seller says the scalloped ones may interfere with roller rockers?
Any body have experience with them good or bad? THANKS!!

I don't think either one would be near the rockers to be a problem. Mine have tubes on the top, and scallops on the bottom. They've worked with regular roller rockers and Jessel Pro Series shaft rockers no problem.

The scalloped Type did not work with my Dart pro-1 heads on a tall deck block. I had to use the tube type to get the sides of the valve cover out farther away from the rockers.

Must be a deeper scallop? What brand were yours? I don't have a clue who made mine, bought them used.

I have the summit scalloped ones and they clear the t&d shaft mounts.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
