That should ease the pain a little, but hopefully they'll stand behind their word if there is any tranny damage done because of this.

But we are all human and we do make mistakes and I bet the guy that sent you the wrong piece, more then likely drives a nova. Sorry, I just had to say something.......better days ahead.
lmafao bruce dam nova guys lol now sending each other the wrong converters lol

Once size fits all...Nova's. Doh, Sorry Chris. I couldnt resist jumping on that wagon. I got faith in ya man, hope you get it sorted out easily.

Ok, this is what we found in the tranny. The wrong converter allowed the input shaft to slide out of the hi-gear drum and broke the end of it off. It also broke the drum where the input shaft ingages. It didn't have to slide much to cause it to fail.
Now we will see what Hughes will do about it.

Awhile back I stuffed a brand new TCI full comp TH400 in the Camaro and shredded it 4 days later doing dry 1st to 2nd gear burnouts in a parking lot...

Here it is. Got a list of parts together and called Hughes. I was about $400.00 worth of parts + shipping. I gave the list over the phone and it was easy to tell that Hughes was not happy about the issue..... BUT they said the parts will be shipped today. By the time we sat down for dinner I get this call from Hughes and the guy tells me that the shipment has already left the building and that I should get it Tuesday.
WOW! I really didn't expect to have that easy of a time getting them to do what was right. There is some cost to me, I have to pay my trans guy $200.00 for his par which at this point I can live with.
List:
clutch hub (hp)
drum
band (kevlar)
shaft (m300)
clucth pack
rebuild kit

Good news! Glad to hear about companies stepping up to the plate after a mishap like that.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
