Storing slicks???

#1 Post by Wildchild » Mon Sep 19, 2011 4:43 am

Can anyone tell me how or what to do to my tires/slicks so they don't get hard during the 5 months I can't race???

Keep them out of the sun, out of the elements and keep the car's weight off them.

Some folks like to wrap them in plastic wrap.

I heard not to store slicks close to an electric motor. Ozone produced by the motor can cause oils in the tire to dry up.

like they said keep weight off them and keep them off the concrete floor
and keep them warm, up in the northwest its cold and when my garage used to not be heated the slicks went in a spare bedroom
