Well after racing my 4500+ car for 8 yrs I have decided to retire it, it went a best of 11.501@117.74 in oct, Being that it would need a roll bar etc and still be damn heavy I bought a friends 74 firebird and put my engine trans in it,I went up top 1 7/8 headers from the 1 3/4 and 3" exh to a 3 1/2 X exh into 3" ultra flow mufflers and 3" torque tech tails, also it has, calvert mono springs with cal tracs and koni shocks, and moroso springs up front, a dana 60 in back with spool and 3.70 gears. 10 point cage, manual brakes and steering etc... car has gone 9.29 @150 before

Well before with the roots blower and iron head motor that was in it was around 37 -3750? So I am guessing now with my aluminum headed engine etc close to 3600 ? Car should go mid 10's I would think from weight loss alone! Then I added bigger headers, a pert flamethrower II dist, The car has a dig 6 box, the engine sounds totally different now! like i added 10 more degrees duration! the grandville
went 11.52 the last race at about 1200 DA so there was more in that combo yet.

At 3600lbs you got a featherweight now!!! I still like the big Grandville you going to put a "stock" type engine back in it?

Thought I would update this,
We'll Made it to the track sunday.. First pass I left easy on the throttle off idle, just to get the feel of the car then hit it and shifted around 55-5600? started to see it smoke which i knew was a problem yet,but hoped it was taken care of. I looked at oil pressure , and it was solid so short shifted out of second at 52-5500? and it ran 10.98@122.76. 1.62 60 ft...
Came back looked for oil leak , thought maybe it was the tube going to oil filter housing so i tightened it a little, decided to try again, this time still left easy at maybe 1500 and then shifted both times at again maybe 55-5600? It was still smoking, but stayed in it again. 10.86@123.04!
1.55,6.89 1/8th @ 99.52... I stopped after that I think it's coming from the dipstick tube on the block, cause the header is all oily at the middle tube and back. I was quite pleased for basically off the trailer , absolutely no tuning!, no carb. changes from last year with the bigger header's or exhaust, timing, I guessed when i pulled the dist out last time with my eye where it was pointed so my guess is it's more than the 30 degrees I normally run and the engine liked, but again with the bigger exhaust, who know's yet.. I did no suspension , mods, left the driver's side at 0 preload and only 3/4 of a turn on the pass side.I also have not touched the rear shocks they are still set for when the car had a 900 hp motor and leaving on a trans brake! Tires I started out at 16 psi, looked like trap RPM'S was about 55-5600. I bet if I would stall it up higher like I did in the grandville I could easily cut .05 off the 60 without touching the suspension! My guess is once i get it all sorted out it should run pretty easily into the 10.50-10.60
