Got the front end put back together except for the turn signals in the bumper, have to mess with those a bit more. Also worked on the taillights a bit.

Thanks guys - I wish some of the fits were a little better, but aftermarket stuff isn't perfect.

I did learn one thing, I friggin' LOVE the new Allen Head dzus fasteners. Those things are sweet! Far easier to work with and get the dzus lined up, and the don't slip. I doubt I'll ever buy another screw slot dzus. Serious, once you use some of those you'll never want the screwdriver ones again.

Lol! I did mine with allen dzus's also about 2 years ago. I still love'em. No more scratched paint (not that it matters on my car), easy to line up and get positive engagement. I use a t-handle that has a blue rubber handle with bright yellow tape on the handle so I can find it fast when it's in the track tool box.

I've got like 40+ of the old screwdriver type to sell now. Amazing how many of those dang things there are on one of these cars.

That's pretty hard to predict, engine is still on the engine stand waiting on parts to finish putting together. I'm still missing some special electrical parts I'm waiting on as well. BUT I do have plenty of things to work on so I'm not stuck yet. We'll just keep hacking away at it, hopefully sometime this summer it'll be back out.

I hope to have everything wrapped up in the trunk area this week, which really just amounts to a bunch of cleanup and some wiring on my tail lights, most everything else is already done back there.

Hey John,

Just in case you need some trim pieces for your car, my vote is for you to stay away from the OER brand. I always thought they were a good company to buy from but let me tell you, I paid $100.00 for four pieces of vinyl top molding, waited over three months to get it, and it took me three nights to get it on my car. Still not 100% sure it won't pop off going down the track.
Then I thought I'll try one more time and ordered the last piece of wheel well molding for my car, through Summit. Again the part was on back order and finally arrived last night, but at least this time it only took two week to get to me. Took it out of the box and there was small scratches and a few little dings, but no way was I going to send it back. The fit up stunk and I had to carefully bend things around to get it to look good.

Big disappointment from this company.

That sucks Bruce, it's a shame they don't make a better product.

I've ran into that a bit already, the eyebrow trim we got isn't quite as good as OEM, but it sure looks a lot better than what I had, and it was a lot cheaper than the original replacements. Hopefully we won't have any issues with the window trim.

On a side note, finished the LED tail lights last night and had to try them out. I think they'll be bright enough...

Ok, off subject here. I know you dont like wichita's track to much from a little rail rash incident. But since it has a brand new surface, once its seasoned and rubber covered are you gonna have enough gumption to come down here and get spanked   by a certain members car? Maybe a little fun grudge racing with a few of us locals?
