I want to know how many times were you sitting inside the car going, rummm-rummm?

Looks good.

Question, did you block off the fresh air vents on top of the firewall, right by where the cowl panels sits?

Actually didn't get in it except to put the transmission bolts in. I'll do the Vroom Vroom stuff later haha.

Yes, it has two aluminum panels held on with dzus fasteners blocking off the vents on the top of the firewall.

Hey John,

Back to the issue with the fresh air vents on the firewall that you have blocked off.

I was reading yesterday that a guy did this to force the air back into the opening of his cowl hood. He was using an air pan and this helped.

Why did you do this and could you get the same results if you were to block off the vents in the cowl panel?

I did it to keep fire out primarily, I would have welded them shut but I wanted to be able to have access through there. I my opinion, I don't think you can get much pressurized air at the base of the cowl, but you of course can get cooler air in some cases.

Slightly different case, but my Camaro has that finished firewall which blocks all airflow into the car via that route AND has all of the grillwork smoothed over and closed off on the top of the cowl. They did this when they first built the ride, intending to do the show car thing. Problem is, I have zero air flow into the ride except via the windows and the headers really bake the interior. Ya gotta really like heat to run around in mine in 90 degree weather :smt003

Thanks Craig.

Tonight finished up the -12 Lines going to the pan and engine from the pump, test fit the left header where all those lines pass and found a few too close places. Have to pull it back out and reroute some stuff, but made a little progress anyway.
