Some Progress on the Nova

Getting very close to starting the ol' Girl back up. Got the intake back on, wiring is finished, most of the plumbing is done - getting close to being time to make some noise. Ran into a few hiccups this weekend. Had a problem with my water line, apparently Aeroquip StartLite hose and Summit fittings don't like each other - now I know why they were were so easy to assembly. Ugh.. So I'm having to redo that plus had a water fitting on the intake leak. Nothing major but of course takes a few days to get replacement parts in. Maybe later this week we can fire it up if all goes well. Almost time to put the front end back on.

It looks scary awesome! But I'm still trying to figure out your nitrous, I could not tell from your face book pics either. Where does the nitrous enter the manifold at?

Through the bottom of the plenum in the center of the intake.

Primed the oil pump last night, oil pressure is ok, no leaks anywhere. I used a little air ratchet and got 20 psi turning it over slow, so that looks ok. Should be on track for lighting her up tomorrow if all goes well. Got all the water leak issues taken care of, looking good.

Motor wise, all went well on start up, but found an oil leak on the dry sump pump, the front shaft seal is leaking. The Fuel pump deceided it didn't like sitting around for 4 years, seals must have dried up and it's leaking around the motor housing now. So ripped that stuff back off to repair.

All that is little problems, at least it's running, has good oil pressure, holding 7 lbs of vacuum at idle, all looking good so far...
