Dragweek
I have not been on here much, I have had a lot going on at work, but is anybody going to dragweek? racing? spectating? I was lucky enough to get in before the cutoff, car is not together yet, but I am in. If all goes well, my nova should be done this weekend and be ready for some testing.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.

His new setup in that car is going to smash his class.

Re: Dragweek
I am just looking forward to going, not planning on setting the world on fire. I'll be happy with no major issues and finishing the whole thing. It has been almost a year since I have even driven the car, so it should be interesting.

Re: Dragweek
I thought you were doing up a Mustang and the Nova was going to be a street car or am I thinking wrong?

Re: Dragweek
You are correct Bruce, but I currently cannot get a tag for the mustang and with my schedule this year, I have not even done much with it. I have just been collecting parts and saving some money, I probably will not be going nuts with the build until later this year.

Re: Dragweek
Street race small block power adder, bringing a knife to a gun fight. My goal is to simply finish and race at four tracks I have never been down. My cage is out of date and my license is expired, so no runs faster than 10.0's.

Re: Dragweek

Re: Dragweek
It has been on my bucket list as well, and who knows, it may become a annual thing for me. I have been trying to follow it every year and this year they are going to four tracks I have never been to, yet alone raced on, and they are all good tracks. I kind of got a heads up about the registration a week before and was able to get in. I actually drove the car for the first time since december this weekend and have been driving it everyday getting the bugs out, I should be going to the track this friday, weather permitting, and making some hits with it.

Re: Dragweek
My neighbor works for PepBoys and is the East Coast, Performance Store Rep and he took his Chevy Monza, which ran 10.3's.
Pretty cool, they did an interview with him and another PepBoys guy on Day 5.
He just got home yesterday.
Looked like a fun time.

Re: Dragweek
That Pep boys monza did well, until the last pass, looked like it ejected some parts out of the motor and played ping pong with the wall. I got a front row seat while i was loading my car up, I was feeling for him. As for me, all in all, a great week. Drove almost 1100 miles with no real issues to speak of, damn it was alot of work though. Car ran a average of 10.38 for the week with a best of a 10.18 on the last pass. Didn't really feel like pushing my luck, so I loaded her up. I'll post up a pic from the last pass
