Last race was a rain out but I qualified 2nd with a 5.69. The air was absolutely terrible and everyone was pretty slow. My car felt like the nitrous wasn't even working. I'm surprised it went that fast. The tune went from being pretty clean to super fat with the air change. So I need to do a better job of tracking the weather. I only got that one run before it rained so I didn't get a chance to lean it out.

Now I'm looking at other ways of speeding the car up. Maybe I can get it leaving like the fast radial cars and not waste as much time yanking the tires. Not sure how to do that just yet. I need to get the power in a lot quicker and pickup the front half.

I found an app that converts from temp and relative humidity to water grains. I'm going to compare to a friend's Kestrel and see if it's in the ballpark using local weather data. Not the best but maybe a decent interim solution.

Thanks, it was good to get into the 40s in NTS trim. I'm making progress with the setup every time out. The track was really tricky yesterday so that was the only good pass of the day. I detuned it to a 5.64 in the 2nd round and ended up losing in the semis. The only cars getting down quickly were on 8.5 slicks. Just not a radial friendly surface yesterday.

It was a real challenge. Part of the day the left lane was decent, then it went away and the right was a little better and in the semis the right was total junk. Nobody on radials did any good once the sun went down.

Interested in your progress Craig because I'm just now getting to the point where I'm turning up the wick a little with the Big Shot plate John is letting me borrow. You said earlier in this thread that you're limited to a 200 HP shot which you described as being limited to a 76 jet or the 53 jets for your crossbar. I assume the 76 jet is for the fuel side since fuel dictates horsepower levels. Was wondering if you'd share what your jet spread is since I can't imagine the rules dictating you run squared jetting. I had a 73 jet in the fuel side w/ 6.5 psi last time out and had a 95 on the nitrous side.

The jet limit is on the nitrous side. I run a 38 fuel jet with the 53 nitrous jet. 5.5 psi fuel pressure.

It could still use a little more fuel taken from it so the carb is likely a little fat. O2 reads 12.4-12.6 in low gear and then leans up some to about 13.5 in high. Plugs show a little fuel.
