Once my new plunger arrives I will. I took that picture months ago. I had laid the plate up there for some reason and decided it looked funny and needed to be shared.

Today I'm bouncing from vehicle to vehicle. Checked a couple more injector tube nuts on the Cummins, I've gotten one fuel pump mounted on the Nova and after lunch I'll be changing oil in the Nissan. Then its off to Somernites for some cruising fun in the Vert.

Looks real good craig, how fast is the class you are moving into?
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.

If the track is there and they choose to try, the points champ can run 4.60s. He usually just runs fast enough to win though and saves his stuff for the national races. Others are capable of 4.80s but are getting things figured out. So I'll have my work cut out for me. Just want to have fun and see how fast I can make the old car go.

That's a 2.5 gallon. I was looking for a 3 gallon but came across this one for a good price. Sure is a lot smaller than the big ol' plastic one I had! Saved right at 10 lbs empty.

What is the reason why the shocks come through the floor?

I may have asked this sometime ago, but now my age is showing.

That is some nice work.

Bruce, more than likely because of lack of room. There is not really a way to put a long stroke shock on our car without either running them through the floor or having them hang down real low.

See another reason to buy a Camaro....LOL

Honestly, I wasn't sure why this was like this.

Thanks

What Ed said. There's just not enough room for the proper length without doing it. I've seen cars run well with the shocks in front of the rearend and angled slightly to keep them under the floor. But adjusting them is really a pain and it takes special valving to make it work. My shocks are from Mark Menscer and he was dead set against putting them in front of the rearend. Santhuff is as well. So I deferred to the expert opinions. I can always put pans in the trunk or patch it and throw in a nice new trunk mat.

I got the fuel pumps mounted to the new chute mount this weekend and then had to go onto other stuff. The wife's car needed an oil change, I needed to do a little work to my truck, I had a Nitrousaurus-X unit to assemble for shipment and we took out Chevy II convertible to the big Somernites Cruise on Saturday afternoon. Yesterday was church and watching football. So it was a good weekend.

I got a little more done this week despite being out of town three days for work. Plumbed the line lock, checked the lubed the pushrods, changed the oil and flushed the new fuel cell. Unfortunately, I discovered that I've got some braided hose that must be replaced. Its weeping fuel through it all along its length.

This afternoon, I helped a buddy setup a set of gears in his truck. Got a great pattern on the first try and they are quiet as a mouse. Great little truck. '92 swb GMC with a 5.3L and a T-56. Fun and knocks down really good mileage.

Sucks that you have to replace that line. I've had real good luck with Fragola pushlock for that so far.

I guess we tend to think braided line will last forever but its still rubber on the inside. I think this section of line was probably going on 10 years old. So I can't complain too much.

I'm getting closer. The list is shrinking. I think I'm on track to be testing on the 19th.

True. Nothing too excited to take pictures of really but I'll see what I can do.
