first drive

My phone recorded this, the car was not banging and popping. My phone is the only one that sounds like they out of 4 that recorded it. Daddy happy... :D

Good to see you get her out! I think you're going to be ready for when the track opens...

Yo, Hitch !!!! That is frickin awesome !!!! I had no clue you were that far along on that bad boy. That thing looks awesome, the view of all that rubber from the back screams serious business and the motor sounds great.

Good for you - I'll bet that was sweet, first time you rolled with that. Congrats bud ! :thumb:

Thanks Harry. I was so pumped up, and so scared at the same time. It was awesome to get to drive it again!

I haven't done one yet. I want to try and get some seat time and look for and fix potential issues with it first. Believe me I want to flog it, but I'm not quite ready for that yet. I need to get it to the track and get used to the feel of this thing first. Then I can start turning it loose. But you guys will know when that happens.

Yeppers, good plan. I have mine back up on stands right now sorting out alignment on the rear bars, etc. Dunno what it did, but things got tweaked on my last hard launch at the track. Wheels up at launch and I ended up with a skewed rear chassis. I'll get it sorted out but it's a pain in the butt.

With all your new gear and the new backhalf, take your time and get it all setup correctly. That much hook and that much horsepower can ruin your day and break your bank, ya know ?

Congrats Hitch....wish I could see the video but our work is playing games with us again and their stupid firewalls.

I bet you're excited to run it, I know how you feel. After the first trip down the track last summer, it's such a great feeling of accomplishment.

Now after making changes to my car, I'm ready and can't wait. I told my wife, opening day is March 22...she said you better have something to keep me warm or I ain't going and there better not be any snow.

Good luck with the Vette, been great watching it come together.
Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don't.........

That is awesome hitch, nothing like that first drive. Can't wait to see how she runs.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
