Crate mtr for new ride

#1 Post by MOKANRACER » Mon Jan 27, 2014 9:43 am

Well emptied my garage of my classics, and purchased this 1956 Pontiac Star Chief Pontiac. Been upgrading to disc brakes, elect wipers, power steering, tilt etc. Ended up having a HP 700R4 built, than went with a custom Crate stroker. Not sure why. Heres the dyno run on it. Mtr ,trans etc are installed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raGXENw ... r_embedded

That thing is beautiful! That reminds me of cruising with my grandpa, he didn't have a olds but had a 56 crown victoria the same color. We always went to cruise nights and the race tracks in it.

Thx guys. Yeah,I happend upon it on ebay. It was in Boise. Wasnt looking for a 56 Pontiac, but this was an older restoration, and being a Star Chief,is pretty rare.. Soo decided to spend to upgrade,it. Its gonna be a hoot to drive,as Its got A/C ,every thing to make it a cruiser, yet has the pwr for a kick in the pants. Image

Nice looking piece.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
