What do you do to bed your brake pads in?

I'm curious what others do to bed their new brake pads in on a race car. Especially one that's not so easy to take down the highway and run through the procedure the pad companies like hawk have.

This is the Hawk DR 97 Break in procedure

Brake Pad Burnishing/Bedding-In Instructions
1. After installing new brake pads, make 6-to-10 stops from approximately 30-35 MPH applying moderate pressure.
2. Make an additional 2-to-3 hard stops from approximately 40-45 MPH.
3. DO NOT DRAG BRAKES!
4. Allow at least 15 minutes for the brake system to cool down.
5. After step 4 is completed, your new Hawk Performance brake pads are ready for use.

If I can I will take the car to a local parking lot and drive it around there. If not, I will drive it up the return road and back several times making testing stops similar to what Hawk recommends. You really should do that with any brake pads, even your daily driver.

My last set of new pads were bedded in at about 112 mph on a motor shot.

That's about what mine got last time. Thought I might try something different this time.

Just not a way to drive it around town doing this.

A little driving in the pits is about all we've got unless we do a few easy passes to heat cycle the pads closer to what Hawk suggests. But that wastes time, tires and engine life. So far I haven't had any issues with their pads standing up to the abuse I've given them.
