Good cage builder

#1 Post by Oz-Mo Speed Shop » Tue Dec 22, 2015 9:39 pm

Hey guys, my name is Josiah I'm brand new to this site, still young in the drag racing game, and still young in general, basically I'm just getting my ears wet.. I'm putting together a 1989 mustang LX notchback and was wondering if anybody has any recommendations for a cage builder or dealer near the 417 area, looking for a good 4 point, and of course on a budget. Thanks guys

Not sure where the 417 area is, but I use Tolle Fab in Sacramento, CA. He built a 12-point cage in my Camaro and did it without removing my cream-colored velour headliner. They do awesome work and their tig work looks like shop porn. I was in their shop last week and they were putting a full cage in a very late model mustang, the owner was going SCCA racing and wanted the car to look stock.

And here's a link to their photo page - mine can be seen in the last three photos on the page - btw, the day after I got the Camaro back with the new cage I got an NHRA 8.50 cert on it. These guys do fabulous work.

Two guys that I would recommend is Mark Wardenhausen at Tydo Race Cars - http://www.tydoracecars.com, Mark is in Seymour, Missouri.

The next would be Blake Hughes at 417 Motorsports who is in Springfield. FB Page is https://www.facebook.com/417-Motorsport ... 104884578/

Both those guys do nice work and can easily handle everything from a basic cage to a full 25.3 chassis.
