That picture is really deceiving. This poor thing twist up so bad. It desperately need an anti roll bar.

What about just offsetting the shock settings? Tighten extension on the driver side and tighten compression on the passenger for now.

I have spoken top some people about that. Problem is I have single adjustable shocks on it. I'm gonna try it, but I'm not sure how it's gonna act by doing that with the singles. I know at this point I would have an advantage by going to a good double. But at 350.00 bucks each, that is just gonna have to wait.

Oh gotcha. Yeah my singles didn't really make a difference when I tried that on mine. I wound up going with the Strange S5007 kit that came with the springs for like $650 from Summit.

I also think I am over sprung in the rear of the car too.

Well what is the total weight with driver and the spring rate. I can say my car is 3170-80 depending on scale and I am using a 138 spring.

Congrats Hitch on the runs....that's awesome.

Still miss seeing the peri-scoop......LOL

Just like Harry, that's the first time I saw a completed picture of the Vette. I said the video of you driving around, but never the entire car.

Looks great. Guess Kevin did a good job on the chassis.

Drive on up here to PA, I got a set of Strange 4.57 gears sitting in the garage that aren't being used.

Thanks gang. Like I said, I'm living on cloud 9 right now.

As far as total weight, The car was 2713 with me in it, that was no battery, alternator, or fuel. So, I think just under 2800 on the starting line. I have 250's up front, and 110's out back. I feel like it needs 80-90 out back with a little stored energy in the spring. I think the fronts are ok. But do not know enough about all of it yet to be sure.

Thanks Harry, that's a big compliment coming from someone with as nice of a car as yours. That picture was taken from my phone...

"The car was 2713 with me in it" I'm now learning that my ride is almost 1,000 lbs heavier than Hitches Vette. :smt005 :smt005

As light as my car is it should run bottom 9's or 8.90's. But the intake is box stock unported, heads are bowl blended with a cnc chamber. I think there is some good power to be had with a good port job. And The cam is way big on duration. This engine only pumps at about 145-155. I think with .800 lift and 10 degrees less duration it would pick up with the proper port work. I'd like to get the heads and intake over to Scott Foxwell. He's done a bunch of these engines with the same heads and intake. He seems to have them pretty well gathered up.

I still have a blown BBC I need to rebuild for the new owner. This could be you :) A BBC with a 671 huffer would wake that Corvette up. :)

I also have a set of wild cast iron heads in the shop with some truly exotic runner and chamber port work on them. They're also machined to use 2.30" intake valves. Much bigger than stock 2.19's. The heads are designed to be used with copper o-rings and would take some pretty significant compression. These heads with an 800 lift cam and some port work on that intake would make some big power. We magna-fluxed and inspected the heads and they appear to be in good shape. I have a line on a 2-bolt main, .060 over 454 block that we could convert to use 4-bolt main caps. The guy has a nice steel crank to go with it. That block and crank, these heads and your top end would make a nice NA motor for you.

I still think you need to consider this huffer build :) Just saying...

Lol. Well, I'm probably going the way of nitrous. I've got a fogger Thats going on this thing some time next year. Hoping that and a converter will put me on the mid 8's. Talk to apache about the blower. He has that front engine dragster, blower would be eau cool on it. I've been 147 in that car, and it's just a 355. How much you want for the blower?
