New PB - RTRA in Denton

#1 Post by John_Heard » Mon Oct 31, 2016 10:16 am

We had a great weekend racing at the Northstar Dragway RTRA race in Denton. Got to meet SUPERNOVA aka Chris Madland and a bunch of other nice folks down in Texas.

Ol' Blue did a good job, she ran a new PB - 4.63@151, 1.10 60' with a 3.02 to the 330' she was on a mission. We had issues keeping front end down, had to abort a few passes when it wanted to power wheelie. I think we had her ready to go into the 50's for the first round of eliminations, but had a loose nut behind the wheel and left before the tree dropped so we didn't get a time. The front end DID stay down though with a hotter tune up in her. Would have been nice to see what it would have been.

Looks killer! Congrats on the PB, you are definitely making progress.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.

Definitely a great way to end your year though!
Congrats to Ol' Blue, her crew and the "loose" nut behind the wheel..... :thumb: :thumb:
Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don't.........

Car is running good John. Do you mind sharing your front weight percentage? We are at 51% and can't keep the front down after adding some Nitrous jet.

Thanks - With no weight in the nose, we're at 54.9%, at Denton it wouldn't stay down until we were at about 55.7%. I think we need to be around 56-57% to really get after it on a track like that. That was also with some pretty tight shocks and about 2" of travel or so.
