driving tips

#1 Post by 427belair » Wed Feb 28, 2007 10:10 pm

This is going to be my first year...and time driving a real race car. Im going from a low 13s-high 12's cruiser to a 10 second nova. last year i was doing pretty well on my lights and made it to the finals the last race. Im looking foe any tips on launching with a trans break and if anyone else has made a similar jump in performance a tested way of working into the new power. I was thinking of leaving at about 3000 and shifting at 5500 or so and moving the launch and shift points up as confedence grows... then using the trans break is that a good plan?
