What is the current setup? Most internals are the same as a 350 like pistons, timing chain, lifters ,pushrods ,rocker arms (You need the narrow ones if you have the 95' heads.)The obvious difference :2 less cylinders and I think its an even fire engine with only 1 rod per journal. By the way if your running 12.51 @ 108 I think your making some good HP already.Check GM Performance for race parts.Any good cam company should have a variety to choose from.

its a stock block, stock crank, stock rods, 11-1 flattops, stock heads with a lil work done, edelbrock performer tbi intake, throttlebody and computer off a 454 thats chipped, cam was custom cut from comp cams (dont kno specs rite off hand but its good for more horsepower) it ran that time with 4:10 gears and lincoln locker on 255/70/15r street tires with original '95 clutch. :D

I think BRODIX sells some decent heads for the 4.3
Had 1 in my old full size with similar work but with the stock intake

Brodix does make some nice heads for them, as does GMPP. Vortec heads are the best bang for you buck though. You can get them re-drilled for your current intake, but the ports wont match up that well. So you're better off runnng a vortec intake too.

I don't know how crazy you want to get with it, but there's a lot of old Busch series blocks and head floating around, and that's where the serious 4.3 power is at.

For some reason I was thinking GM ran the Buick 231 v6 in the Busch cars. Maybe they went to the 4.3L later, beats me?

I think they did for awhile, but somewhre along the line there were some 4.3 versions too. 3 blocks just surfaced around here not too long ago. Go figure.
