Looking for a good source of stainless tubing sticks (not coiled), anyone know where some good deals are? Ideally good quality stuff that doesn't need work after flaring for the seam.

I use alot in the oil field. Plumming chemical tanks and injection points etc... Have used half inch in the past. Might wanna try some where like an oilfield supply house. Example.... Redman, National Oilwell, etc... Just my 2 cents. 8-)

I use alot in the oilfield aswell. Some manufacturers are:

Swagelok
Hylok
Parker

As said above, any oilfield company should be able to get it, we buy ours from parker, swagelok or unified alloys.

You can get seamless or welded (cheaper), both are up to par for the application. 0.035 wall is enough for almost anything automotive, if needing more pressure capability or rigidity use 0.049 or 0.065 wall but be prepared for some tiresome bending!

I used 1/2'' S.S. 0.035 wall for my fuel system and 3/8'' 0.035 for trans. lines.

I don't want to make it seem like I'm just posting to promote our company, but we are a big supplier of tubing. In the next two days on our site we are launching a big 'metal sales' page with pricing and you can order online. Send us an email and let me know the size, and I can get you a price.
