I know you made a wheel to replace the crank on your bead roller, but what did you make to mount it?

Are you "free handing" things are do you have some sort of a guide rail?

I tried to make a guide but didn't turn out too good and I'm looking for suggestions.

I got the bead roller from Woodward Fab and basically looks like the one you are using.

Like the Camaro pressing....that's im"press"ive,,,get it.. :smt005

Bruce I made a table to support larger panels, smaller ones I don't bother to put it on. I just draw the design on the panel & freehand them, I did stamp the panel around the code tag though. I made a receiver like a trailer hitch to mount it to the wall.

The more I looked at the Camaro panel the more things I found I didn't like. The deal breaker was when the bead rolled lines didn't match up to panel next to it. So, tonight I knocked out another one. It didn't take long since I had the stamp & measurements from the first "prototype". [ prototype = politically correct term to describe "junk part"]. I had to lay the panels in place to see how it was going to look. There's a lot of massaging to be do to get everything to fit, but it is getting closer.

Thanks. Redo's I'm on #4. It doesn't take long to make them now that I have done a few. I did #4 last night in about an hour. Still needs some tweaking, trimming & massaging. That's the part that takes time.
I guess I should have made @4 first, then I'd be on to the next project by now.

Here's a new project for you, an aluminum wing for a 69 Camaro with the "Camaro" stamping on the spill plates....that would look wild.

Firewall looks great.

That's a good idea Bruce. I have an Ed Quay wing up in the attic still in the box I bought several years ago. I might have to do a stamp on it before I install it. Had I known I was going to get into metal shaping This much on this project I probably wouldn't have bought the wing, just made one myself. MAYBE I STILL WILL

BTW: I tweaked the camaro panel design one more time. I think I'll stick with this one. Each one has come out a little better. This one is flat as a pancake after all the bead rolling, bending & stamping.

Let me know when you'd like me to drop my Camaro off - there's a few sheet metal updates I'd like to have done :smt003

Ed Quay's wings are hard to beat but add that Camaro impression, that would be one of a kind.

Hey Harry, it was my idea so I'm first inline....you can be second, ok buddy?

Oh and just to be fair, maybe you should work on a "Nova" impression so they won't get to jealous of us
Camaro people....

I would pay a couple bucks for the Nova piece to make the impression with...I'm sure others would too
