Re: My new ride
I haven't updated this post for a while, but progress on the mustang finally. I delivered it to JCR chassis a week ago to start building. I am going in deep with a 25.3 chassis, I will post up some pics as it moves along.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
Re: My new ride
Going in with guns blazing. We'll need lots of pics of course

Re: My new ride
Walt, the goal is to be sub 3k with driver. Gonna do everthing i can to try and make that happen. I figure with that weight and the power I want to make, the car should run extremely well with the goal of sub 7.50's, hence the 25.3 chassis. I am not building for a class per say, just want to go fast and do it safely, it fits in whatever class it fits in. Probably outlaw 275 is where I would run at SGMP type events, but it will be street legal so I can run dragweek and true street style events. I do not have the financial means to go play with the big dogs on a class level, but it will be one hell of a fast street car.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.
Re: My new ride
Hey, did you ever go with a power adder ? We had talked at one point about a ProCharger, etc. What did you finally do on the induction side of your build ?

Re: My new ride
Sounds like an awesome plan Eddie, have you been running at OSW lately?

Re: My new ride
Wikd, the mustang will get my 522ci bbc and glide that was previously in the nova. My current thinking is I will change the cam, drop the compression to the 10.5/11 to 1 range, and run twin sx480 turbos on e85 with efi. I am leaving some on the table with the turbo selection, but the borg warners are some hearty units and are reasonably priced. Should still be plenty enough to put the car deep in the 7's. As for the nova, I have not made any changes to the 5.3 nitrous combo. I really would like to put a single turbo on it, but I am trying to leave it alone for now. It is really nice to be able to hop in it, drive to the gas station and use pump gas and then just go for a drive. It also sucks because I want to go racing so bad! The only plans I have for the nova right now is to replace the rear axle assembly. The orginal housing in the car has a bent axle tube and the gears are really damn loud. I picked up another housing a while back, but have yet to switch everything over and replace the ring and pinion. With the mustang out of the garage, I need to get that done. No other changes are planned so the car is Dragweek ready as it sits if need be.
Walt, I have been to the track once since dragweek and that was only to help out some other guys. I am not a good spectator for the most part. Staying away from the track has allowed me to save some funds for the new car. I will be going to SGMP for the Duck race, but mostly because I am picking up a 2012 mustang that PA Racing is building for my buddy rick. Rick should be running one of the index classes.

" twin sx480 turbos on e85 with efi " - You literally made me start drooling... This is my new favorite wet dream vision.
We have to have *lots* of content - pix, vid, narration, etc., as you do this !!!!!
Are you currently running an EFI setup, or will that be new along with the twin turbos ?

Re: My new ride
The combo was carburated with nitrous when it was in the nova. I have been playing with efi and turbo stuff for a while, just not mine, so I have a pretty good idea on what I need and what I want to do. Heading to the chassis shop saturday, hopefully I will have some pics to post up.

Re: My new ride
Eddie you talking about the Feb. race? We are going with Big Eric, he's running the 6.0 index, gonna be a good time for sure. Walt
