Ford 9" drive shaft sensor RPM logger?

#1 Post by BigDog67 » Fri Feb 11, 2011 9:08 am

Hi i have a quick question about drive shaft sensors and the RPM data logger. How many magnents are in the collars you sell? The more magnets the better for me. If i can drill and add more magnents to the collar will the RPM data logger be able to sample the sensor effectively? I hope i explained it correctly.

The RPM data logger uses a 4 magnet collar. We can also modify the program to work with up to 8 magnets on request. We don't have an 8 magnet collar, and adding 4 more to our collar won't be practical because the position of the four magnets would force added magnets to be where the collar splits. I believe Davis Technologies has an 8 magnet collar available.

Sorry for the delay.

You can download our software from rpmperf.com. It has some examples in it that can be opened for viewing.
