Automatic logon at each visit
Hey John,
Is something going on with my account again?
Just today, each time I return to the site, even though I check the box, I have to check logining back in?
Is this your way of telling me I'm banned form the site???? Let me guess, it's all because I drive a Camaro, right?
Bruce

Probably going to have to delete your board cookie and log back in again
Just click this - ucp.php?mode=delete_cookies Then you'll have to log back in. See if that works, and yeah, I think it's a Camaro thing...

Brucey - did you not pay your DragStuff member dues yet? I told you to send me the cash and I'd make sure John got it.

Well Mikey....my long lost, gayball playing brother, my automatic login thingy dingy didn't work again, so I'm not sending you any money to go out and buy gayball playing cards......
Hey John, amymore suggestions about why I have to keep logging in?
I checked all my Internet settings and nothing has changed.

Re: Automatic logon at each visit
The automatic log in is just a cookie the forum sets on your computer with your log in info within it. Sometimes that cookie file gets corrupted and must be deleted to start fresh with a new one.
BUT - some security software, browser settings, computer settings etc. can disable the use of cookies, then of course the auto login can't work. Best I can tell you this is something screwed up on your browser, your security software, or something else. If you've click that delete a cookie link, then logged back in, it should have done the trick.
When you log in, does anything pop up and say something? Like "The site dragstuff.com wants to set a cookie, ok?" if it's asking you something like that, click "OK"..

Re: Automatic logon at each visit
No, I come onto the page like a visitor would and I have to go and log in, now if I don't close out the internet, I remain logged in, but after that it clears things out.
I checked to make sure the auto complete was set to keep my passwords and it is, I checked the delete browsing history to make sure password was checked and it's all ok.
I bet Mike sent me a virus and doesn't want me playing around on his turf.....

If you're deleting your browser history you're probably nuking all your cookies.
What browser are you using?

Internet Explorer.
I checked and made sure the box next to passwords and cookies is not marked for delection.
Oh well, we got enough to worry, I can deal with logging in each time.

If the box that says Delete browsing history on exit is checked, that might be what's doing this;

Re: Automatic logon at each visit
I have always had that checked and never had any issues but I'll un-check it and see what happens.
This just started happening on Tuesday, up to me going on vacation on Dec. 23rd, everything was fine.
Maybe this is the companies way to telling me not to take vacation
Mikey I love you like a brother and If I ever play football, I'd love for you to be the quarterback..........
and I'd be sitting in the stands telling you to throw the dang ball instead of playing with the centers butt....
