i am soooo impressed with wilson......first pass with very conservative tune with an .82( same as speedtech and NX). it went 5.83@121. unfortunatly, i only got to make one pass. i got to the traack late. this is 2 full tenths faster than NX and 4 on speedtech. it is about 10 deg. cooler now than when i had the other two kits, though.. i retarded the timming 2.7 deg. per 50hp (per wilson) just to be safe.. i feel with a little more tunning i can pick up nearly 2 more tenths...just thought i would post up an dlet you guys no that wilson rocks!!!!wrenchbender wrote:Let us know how the Wilson plate does.

Congratulations on a new best with the Wilson plate.
You're seeing huge swings in performance between those plates. It sure would be interesting to take all three and put them on the bench and do some flow testing based on the jetting you used.
I'm glad you mentioned the weather changed between tests, we have to acknowledge that testing conditions between all the plates were not the same BUT bottom line, the wilson kicked butt compared to the others, you can't disagree with that point.

i had the same thing with my speedtech plate the chart is way off.. i went over to the spider plate from noswizard picked up 4tenth with the same power level tune. the e.g.t's finaly came around and the plug readings were the same in all 8cylinders.

i got it about a month or two ago and with the 400hp tune he gave me i'm running 38-39 better then i was. ok it's not 4 but close enough in my book the plate and noids were not cheap!!! i haven't even started to tune it or play with it. i'm trying to get the drag radail nova right before i start playing with the cashier. i will give my number alittle later man i don't get all huggie that fast lol. i can tell you the egt readings are spot on. if you look at the pic you see the brass tubes all i did was just put alittle bend in some to get it to spray right down the middle of each runner. i had the engine on the pump when i put it on to see if was causing any ill effect in air flow or hp and there was none that showed up well testing.

That's good news - did you use the jets at the noids or in the nozzles? The reason I want to talk is not for hugs, I have one of those plates that I'll be testing before long. Which solenoids did you go with? two pairs?

i bought his noids, plate and timing controler. i'm running two noids for nos and two for feul. my brothers car is only using one noid running each. his car picked up .19 with and mild tune up he was using a nx plate. i haven't changed jetting or started to fine tune it yet. i'm working on my drag radail car trying to get it to run with the big boys. all i need is to get the car to run to 330 and i will be fine. i have all the power i will ever need for the class but that doesn't do me much good if i can't get it to the ground.. sorry i don't have any tune up for you or good advice with the plate i just don't have any time with it yet. like i said the first run after i put it on the car went .31 faster then it ran with the same power level then the 2nd pass was .37 faster. i'm not 100% sure his 400hp is realy a 400 shot. i'm using alittle less nos in a run with this plate then the other.
nos

1.358.. the wilson plate that i got is for small tire traction limited cars. it doesnt hit nearly has hard as NX,Speedtech, or NOS. feels somewhat of a fogger to me, real smooth, the holes in the plate feature a fan spray pattern unlike the traditional perfect circle spray bar patterns..wrenchbender wrote:That does sound impressive. Keep us updated. 60 foot?

It doesnt surprise me your using less nitrous and making more power with Trev's products as his systems tend to be more efficant with the same size jets from other kits. John you found this to be true also I think when you first started to play with his stuff.
Cashier what ramp settings are you using on the Maximiser? How did you bring in your old plate system?
