I just bought one. Anybody have any fullproof tps setups for a holley 4150?
I dont like the innovate tps because they want $55 to ship it to me. I called the dealer up here and he says it is a ''third party'' product so i can only order it through their website.

Re: zeitronix wideband controller, anyone run one??
Having some issues communicating with my laptop (acer aspire 3500) to a serial device.
I purchased a new A/F datalogger (http://www.zeitronix.com/), i do not have a serial port on my laptop (well its a 15pin? not a 9pin?) so i purchased a serial to usb convertor (prolific). I had the datalogger working a couple times but i had to mess around for 10mins each time with the comm ports to get it to work.
I tried for 30mins last night and no luck.
Laptop is running XP.
I am able to change the Baud rate settings for the convertor but does not seem to make any difference, default is 9600.
I have read the help instructions for the datalogger on the website but no go (http://www.zeitronix.com/zdl/zdl_setup.htm#question4).
Anybody have any suggestions?

Try a different USB to Serial Adapter, some of them suck and I am hearing the one you have is one of them. Adam (79 Camaro) is having trouble with his too. I wouldn't recommend the radio shack one either, I've had problems with that one as well. I got a cheapy no-name one off ebay that does ok, but what you might want to get is the IO Mega USB to Serial adapter, that's the MSD recommends for talking to their ignition boxes. FYI - http://www.msdignition.com/page.aspx?id=6545
I have not tried that particular model, but it really sounds like the one to get to avoid those problems.

The one that I bought off of newegg is a piece of crap! It maybe works 2 out of 10 times... It makes me reinstall the driver before it will work when I just got done using it 30 min before that... Its a cheapy and I should have got the one that MSD recommended, but I went the cheap way because I didnt think it would matter to much and it came back to kick me in the balls
