Ok, I must say that the 7531 box is an awesome box! I looked at all the surf that I have been ignoring in fear of screwing something up. What I found was lots of cool stuff to help make a car run hard. I did call in a friend to help show me the good stuff and how to use it.

John, I showed him your posts and although he knows this box very well you even showed him something to try on his car (outlaw topsportsman car). Thank you for your time and info. It has been inforative. Between your info and my buddy Kent I think we can get to the track and not look to stupid.
Rain is in the forcast so it may not happen today but we feel confident that the box won't kill us when we go. Kent is going with us to help.

We took David's camaro out saturday to do some testing. It took a couple hit to get the 7531 box set up. We had to dump 4 deg. more timing out of it than what we were going to take out for the nitrous to get it to hook. Played with bringing it back in and found the timimg could be brought back in quickly.

Now comes the nitrous. set the n2o p-c up with 20% at the hit on a 150 shot and brought it up to 100% in 1.000 sec. to start with. And bringing the timing back up to the n2o level. Boy that didn't work. Can you say tire fry'er. I was hot and the track was in bad shape. But we learned a lot about set up with the 7531 and p-controller for the n2o. We did take more timing out of it and found that that helped and were able to run down the track. The best with the 150 shot was a 6.32. I beat on a good night with good air and a much better track, AND better tuning, the car would dip to 6.00's We took a lot out of it to run on a crapy track and it showed.

This car will run in the same class my car will run in so the n2o rule is a .072 n2o jet limit applies. with what we know now I think we can get 5.80's low .90's out of it. It won't be the fastest car in the class but it can compete.

Thank you for the help John.
I hope I can ask more questions later. I know I have just touched the surface of what this box can do. The info that you gave us was a huge help. Lots of fun playing with the 7531 and p-c for the n2o.

I think the track temp. was around 145 deg. so it was hot! The last pass was the best at about 7:30 pm. the track had cooled off some still hot though.
