Bigger Fogger Jets or Plate
I'm running a NOS prorace fogger with 42f/42n which nos claims is 450-500hp. plugs look great, pistons look great. I'm currently running 17 degrees of timing, and C-16 fuel. I want more power. Which of the following would be the best avenue to take.
1. Increase curent fogger jet sizes. NOS tech claims system sould be able to support 150-200 hp more if I change NOS supply line.
2. Install a plate system as a second stage 150-200hp
3. Install second fogger system and split the hp 350 + 350=700
Cost is second concern, reliabilty is first.
Engine has all correct internals to take this power.
-Thanks for your input

Thanks for the responses. What are some Pro and Cons of each choice, besides cost.

1. a 42 jet is a hell of a tune up for one system. I wouldn't go any bigger unless it was a resricted to one system. In the new engine masters Jeff Prock got 520Hp out of a 40 jet, but I'd say that's a best case situation. It's a pretty lean tune with conservative timing.
2. A Plate would be alright but distribution gets out of whack when pumping that much nitrous through it.
3. If your going to spray 700 hp I'd would put two foggers on it. you can tune it better and It would make each cyclinder more consistent as far as fuel and nitrous delivery.
Anyway you do it that's alot of nitrous lol. But maybe you can never have enough. By the way what kind of heads and motor do you have?

Thanks for the response. I though I might be pushing the limits of one system .My initial Feeling was the plate option used as a passing gear haha.. But the more I weigh system limits I think the second fogger is what I'm goin to do. I have TFS High ports for TEA.. The car is set up for Truestreet..30 mile cruise 3 back to back runs best average wins.

For clarification: NMRA True street NO backhalf or mini tub only allowed 10.75 inch acual tread width max. Kind of hard to fit 10.75 trea width in 89 mustang without mini tubs best I could fit is a 10 inch' ish Tread with out hanging outside of the wheel wells. 27x11.5x16

Re: Bigger Fogger Jets or Plate
I run Speedtech foggers on my Nova. 400hp through the first and 300hp through the second. With one stage I get about a 7.1-7.2 quarter at 192mph.
With two stages I get 6.8 @ 198mph.
So get yourself a second fogger. Make sure you have enough retard and only advance it 1/2* (half) at a time to get some more power.
I also vary when the second stage comes in. Anything from 1 second down to .4 sec.
