Re: Hoosier slicks
Spray it with a little soapy water and put some more air in it and it should pop out to seat right. I've had to do it before....

Re: Hoosier slicks
That rim is too narrow. Any 10" tire will work much better on a wide rim. The big boys use 10"-12" rims but 12s work the best if you have the room to fit them. The tire is more stable on a wider rim because you can get a better pattern, and use a little more tire pressure, which stabilizes the car downtrack.Bad67 wrote:Just purchased a new set of hoosier slicks 26x10-15 i have weld draglite rims that are 8",problem iam having is it seems the tire does not appear to be fitting properly on the rim.Around the edge of the rim there not seating all the way up, anybody ever run in to this before any input appreciated.I will leave a picture in a link not sure if its good enough to help out

Mickey Thompsom say's that tire should be on a 10" rim.... Maybe thats what's wrong.

Re: Hoosier slicks
Supernova told you right in his first post. Soapy water and more air. Sometime pick it up and bounce it. The bad thing about adding more air it will stretch the tire and change your rollout. Just check both tires when your done. If one tire has more rollout just add air to the smaller one tell it the same and set it in the sun for awhile and it will stay.
The 10 inch wheel would be the best but your 8 inch will work.

Re: Hoosier slicks
Tried the soapy water and setting them in the sun today for hours none of that worked, guess try breaking them back down and remounting with a tire lube.
