th350 no 1-2 shift

went racing today and first pass all was good. then I could not go from 1 to 2. It will go into 3 if I put it in 3. If I put it in 2 it will drive. If I put in 3 drive I can go into 2 then one just fine. Is it the v body or am I rally screwed.

I lost the 1-2 shift in mine it turned out to be a broken sprag.

yea I would put money on that. Since I have it out who makes a good man valve body?

I think mine is a TCI its a reverse pattern no trans brake, I had regular pattern one from Turbo Action both worked fine.

cool I am looking at the tci. I still drive the car on the street tci has one with 1 and 2 braking and one with just 2. The car is 3700 with me (working on it) do you think I should do the 1 and 2 or just 2?

I would get the 1-2. My Turbo Action had gear braking in both it was in my car when it was 95% street car but when I went to mostly track and a little street driving I switched to no gear braking.I didnt like the non braking on the street.Just my .02
