Hey Marty,
Sure hope you can help out with this. I am in need of a converter for my wifes 96 Supra that I am doing a TH400 swap on. I am using one of the adapters that allows me to run a TH400 but with the Toyota A340 trans bell housing along with the Toyota 2jz flex plate.. So I guess on the trans side it is a chevy converter and on the engine side a Toyota converter.
This isnt a high HP Supra maybe 400-450 @ 17 psi.. Cant say for sure because once I turned the boost up to 17 I started blowing transmissions up
Any way let me know if you can help and how much this is going to hurt my wallet

Not sure how much help this might be, but Jeff at Jaws Gear & Axle here in Roseville, CA (Sacramento area) runs a hard core Supra with a TH400. He might be able to share some information with you about his combination. As I recall, he's running low 9's with his ride. It's pretty fast.Bowtiestang wrote:Hey Marty,

His website is: http://www.jawsgear.com/ and his name is Jeff. I'd give him a call and see what his combination is like. Tell him Harry Stoner (me :) suggested you call.

Re: Supra Hybrid converter
Hey Bowtie - Marty didn't have a chance to visit the board this week, he's been crazy busy. I sent him a note letting him know there was a question for him, but it'll be probably tuesday when he catches up with his email. If you don't want to wait the best thing to do would be to give him a call at the shop next Monday or Tuesday 316-542-9869

Re: Supra Hybrid converter
There's a gal that runs at our track, car has run 11.0x at 130+ mph, if she could shift it, I know it would run 9's. She thinks she blew up the spider gears last night. Whats it cost to put a th400 behind one of those mean 6 cylinders?

Sorry it has taken so long to get back with you . We have been involved heavily with the supra inline six since the mid 1990's . We can help you out and i think you will like the car with the TH400 way better! Call me and we can go over all the specs. 316-542-9869 Thanks Marty
