The body is DONE!!!!! Waiting on all the Glass parts now. They should be here this week... We still have to wet sand and seal but we're going to do that with the glass parts.

Thanks guy's!
It's lots of work but will be worth it when it's done. Fiberglass body part should be here this week and then the quest will continue.

Looks good Chris, are you going with a wing?
Leave the doors and trunk lid unpainted and paint the rest so that we know who you are...
It's not going to be the same seeing the Nova all in one color!

I think he made a comment that he was going with Glasstek, if my old mind recalls correctly...

Re: It's comming along nicely!
oh snap. some serious weight reduction too. hey can you weigh the steel parts vs the fiberglass parts to see how much weight is really saved?
Re: It's comming along nicely!
I went with GlassTek.
Also in the process of building a carbon fiber wing.
Here are the weight totals.
Trunk lid stock, 46 lbs, FG 12 lbs
Doors each 68 lbs, 10 lbs
Front bumper 22 lbs. 2 lbs
Rear bump 25 lbs. 2 lbs
Cawl panel 5 lbs 2 lbs
Fenders each 46 lbs 8 lbs
+ me loosing 60 lbs is a total of 314 lbs.
that's before - 3656 lbs
After - 3342 lbs

Re: It's comming along nicely!
You cut all the stuff off for the decklid? Hinge mounts, latch area, etc. There's several lbs in those areas for sure.
