2014 Dragweek
I had forgotten to mention this earlier, but did anybody else get in on dragweek this year? Myself and two buddies got in and are looking forward to heading out west. Doubt I'll have the new car together by then, so looks like I will be taking the nova. While I am out there, thought I might see if anybody wants to meet up for dinner/lunch or something.
I am not really sure what the question is, but I am pretty sure the answer is Big Block.

Couple of my friends are in it, Gary Putnam and Keith Lopez out of Wichita. I think one of the races is at Tulsa? Might be fun to go down and watch.

Re: 2014 Dragweek
Hmm, I don't know either. Nothing on my calendar for that date. They have an X275 5k to win on 9/27. Week of the 13 is Ozark's Street Machine Shootout also. Wichita's Fall Nationals are on the 20th.
I'm surprised the racing is so close in this area as compared to years past.

I've got a buddy in it with a 454 lax making 875 horse, in street race, I think. I'd love to go race but will miss it by a bit. If I get some overtime at work, going to be making passes by July.

Re: 2014 Dragweek
Walt, my buddy rick is taking his red/silver vortec powered 4.6 sn95 mustang to run in street race small block power adder with myself and my other buddy chris is taking a v8 power s-10 to run in street race small block N/A. If rick steps it up a little he should be able to run pretty close to 8.50 cutoff. My self and chris probably don't have a chance but then again, you have to finish to win.

I think they are targeting the TV show guys. Trying to get as much of the Oklahoma crew in as they can. It would be great for publicity.John_Heard wrote:Hmm, I don't know either. To many competing series for small tire really. It does make it nice to have a place to go race often, but I'm afraid spectators will suffer with so much of it going on.
