Thanks for the compliments guys, glad you're happy with the products. I'm curious as to what you gouys are using the N/C side of the relays for though? I haven't needed to use one that way so I'm just wondering...

hey dave
i take back what i said on the n/o and n/c what i wanted to say is i would like to have a few that are triggered by a ground switch for example i have my trans brake triggered that way because i have the stock colume and i use the horn wire so i don't have a cord running down my steering wheel i have my trans brake mounted on the steering wheel,
i got the nitours trans brake box today looks great the only thing i see as a problem is you can't replace the relay if it ever goes out replacible relays would be awesome other wise it looks great and very well made

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. As I said before I won't use a socket for a 70 amp relay because I haven't seen any I like for that high of a current. Even most of the "relay failures" I've seen with 40 amp relays have been the socket and not the relay and then you're in the same boat. I've been thinking about offering free replacement (within a certain timeframe) of the relays should one go out, but have to give that some serious consideration before I would actually do it. I will have to think about what it would take to make the relay activation user selectable. I thought about it before but decided not to do it. Also, on the nitrous/transbrake module there is a circuit on the output side of each relay that helps to eliminate the voltage spikes (sometimes several hundred volts) that occur when the solenoids turn off. In the testing I did the relays with this circuit had lower resistance across the contacts than the ones that didn't after approximately 10,000 cycles.

I may eventually do switch panels but that would be a long ways down the road. I'm in the same boat as you, I wired my car before but I really need to go through it again since I've added and changed so much stuff over the years.

Yes, the nitrous-transbrake module is basically a relay board with two relays. That is why it has a switch to turn the lock out feature on or off. As long as what you what to run off it requires less than 70 or 25 amps than you can use it for anything. Keep in mind the nitrous side is ground activated and the transbrake side requires +12V to activate it. Hope that answers your question.

Just thought I'd post an update. I made a couple of changes to the nitrous/transbrake module and took some pics. I got rid of the green connector and the switch for selecting the lockout/no lockout feature of the the nitrous. They have been replaced by studs and a jumper instead of the switch. I did this mainly because I was having to have the boxes milled down to accomodate the height of the switch and now I don't have to. Don't worry if you already bought one, there is nothing wrong with it, this was done to make the units easier to manufacture. Thanks, Dave
