Re: Tested on Saturday!
Check your email Chris - I slowed those vids down, not great but better than nothing.
It's dead hooking on the first pass I believe, second one getting just a touch of tire speed, just enough to keep the tire round. One thing I noticed it's getting a lot of body separation, can't tell for sure but it might be topping them out? Might want to tighten up the shocks, getting a bit of body roll too. Get your bro a vid camera to use, the digital ones aren't that expensive now and it's gonna help you a lot seeing what the car is doing.

Thanks John. I've watched them now about a dozen times each. It is dead hooked in the first video. That was with the .091 nitrous pill hit...... The second video is with the .110 pill and you can see it hits harder. You can see the body separation and roll. The shocks have 7"s of travel and I have only 2"s showing at ride hight. I will slow them down more the next time out.
I have a $2,000.00 canon that my brother won't touch, he's scared it has too many buttons on it.......... lol

Re: Tested on Saturday!
I noticed something that you might want to discuss with John or even Dave Morgan, and it was on both video's.
Each time, I noticed during the launch, you were loosing some down force on the rear end of the car in a specific area.
Take a close look and you will notice that your license plate was flapping in the wind and if you were to secure this, it might help with some of your traction issues.
Ok, I'm done for the day.
On a serious note, that thing leaves damn hard but just think if that powertrain was in a Camaro....

Those who think they know it all have no way of finding out they don't.........
Re: Tested on Saturday!
i dont see a lot of body separation in those videos. it looks like it squats from the tire hit but little body separation, like a good ladder bar car should be.
the vids are not very clear, but i also dont see the tire barely deforming... i was under the impression that a nice flat contact patch is best for traction. now im thinking, too much tire pressure? maybe ladder bar is too low on the front mount? i dunno
can someone edumacate me on what the tire is supposed to be doing at launch

Re: Tested on Saturday!
ie, shouldnt the tire look like this on launch

edit: im looking at the second slo mo and im seeing some of that deformation. also looks like the front wheel is in the air a lot longer. was there anything different between both passes?

Yes, the short wheel stand was with a .091 nitrous pill and the bigger wheel stand was with a .110 nirtous pill.
